COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course explores the care of Opal Clark, an older patient with advanced cancer cared for at home by her elderly husband.  Topics covered include: pain management, nutritional and hydration in the seriously ill patient, palliative and hospice care, end of life planning, elder abuse, distant caregiving, nursing facility care and management of sensory impairments.

Prerequisite: FlourishCare: Integrated Person-Centered Geriatric Primary Care
